Flashatasha, I saw your Jafar & Maleficent pic, but you should do other villain love pairing pictures, too. I saw one of Hades & Ursula, and another of Percival C. McLeach & Madame Medusa, but you should try these:
Governor Ratcliffe & the evil Queen (unless you have a better idea)
Captain Hook & the Queen of Hearts
The King of Hearts & Cruella De Vil
The Horned King & Yzma (maybe)
Gaston & Drizella (Cinderella's dark haired stepsister)
This is awesome. Judge Claude Frollo and Lady Tremaine would be perfect for each other, they have many similarities. If Lady Tremaine does get bored with Judge Claude Frollo, though, she might find more compatibility with Governor Ratcliffe, and Judge Claude Frollo might find more interest in Queen Grimhilde (the evil Queen), but I do not like the pairings as much. I am also iffy about Governor Ratcliffe and Queen Grimhilde, though I like it, but that depends on who would be the best for Queen Grimhilde, and who would be better for Lady Tremaine. Which pairings do you prefer?
Additionally, while I do hate to admit this, Judge Claude Frollo being very much like Lady Tremaine might just be a coincidence, but some people who worked on the male villains did have the female villains in mind, for example, Andreas Deja thought of Maleficent when creating Jafar, Captain Hook is very much like the Queen of Hearts, and Hades and Ursula are very similar to each other. There might be more male-female villain comparisons like this, but I am not sure.
There are also other villains like this, such as, who are the same gender, such as: Jafar and Scar, Captain Hook and Shere Khan (or Prince John), maybe Hades and Prince John, Ursula and Madame Medusa, Kaa and Sir Hiss, Gaston and Clayton, etc.
this is such an awesome response - i am not worthy! yes you are right as i've got quite a few disney books which say where the artists influences come from etc (i am a geek) which is why i have paired them up the way they are - not out of preference (although i am quite fond of these pairings now) but to highlight how similar they are and as such that they look good together because of this!
please check out my other pairings jafar x maleficient (if you havent come across this already) and my disney villain comic i'm starting up - it has 3 pages so far as your comments would be very welcome!!! thanks again
I agree, Judge Claude Frollo and Lady Tremaine look great together, as do Jafar and Maleficent, because they are so similar in many more ways than one, that is why I love pairing them up with each other. I feel the same way about Captain Hook and the Queen of Hearts, and Hades and Ursula, but I have two questions for you.
One is are any of the villain pairings I listed referenced in your Disney books? I do not read any, I should, but I do not know which ones to read, so I was wondering if you knew.
Another is which other villain love pairings do you like? My other choices are: the King of Hearts and Cruella De Vil, Destane (a sorcerer from the "Aladdin" TV show) and Yzma, Governor Ratcliffe and Queen Grimhilde, Percival C. McLeach and Madame Medusa, the Phantom Blot and Madame Mim, Gaston and Drizella (Cinderella's black haired stepsister), and Rico and Anastasia (Cinderella's red haired stepsister). Do you like any of these pairings? If not, then which ones would you recommend?
Also, please keep me updated about your Disney villain comic, I would love to see it when you are done with it. Once again great picture.
I actually thought that Frollo kind of looked like Lady Tremaine! that and they are both evil-yet human and begrudgingly take "care" of a child who is not related to them and treat them like a piece of dirt and hide them from the world.
